Part 6: Your place in the world

you and I need help throughout our lives, and we depend on people's compassion. so we have to teach people that being compassionate not only feels good, not only help us, but will also make the world a kinder and safer place.

a wise person once said that all children are born knowing what the angels look like. I have come to believe it's so. and those angels may come along later in life to remind us of their presence.

when I lived in the present moment with you, noticing what was happening in that moment, I felt great joy. when my mind went to the past and what I had lost, I felt pain. when my mind went to the future and what I longed for, I felt then pain too.

so many of us grown-ups suffer because we are trying to live the life we once had or the life we wish for. you reminded me that life is much sweeter when we live the life we have.
